Hockey Player Uses Speed and Agility to Hold Her Own

Senior Angela Martinez has been playing on hockey teams in the city her whole life. Before the pandemic, she played for an all-girls team in Upper Manhattan. She currently plays on the co-ed Hockey in Harlem team. She sat down with me to talk about her experiences as a girl on a hockey team.

n the afternoon of April 8, the Earth will move into the moon’s shadow, causing a solar eclipse. At 2:15 in the afternoon, all students will go to the field west of the school to witness the eclipse.

Ms. Papsidero is concerned that scores will not be as high this year. She’s holding out hope that the N.Y. State Department of Education will have students take the Regents exams but not count them as graduation requirements or modify the grading scale even more than they usually do.
