The Pace girls’ track team was off to a splendid start during the second semester, led by captains Xion Bacchus and Josselin Carmona and coached by Ms. Martinez and Mr. Worthington. Members of the team agree that through track they were able to build up their running skills, stamina and still have fun with their teammates.

Despite the huge changes and challenges this year, the team spirit was as high as ever.

The team advances to the playoffs to face Graphics Campus on Wednesday, May 11.

Along with the wins and losses of the team, the girls made it to the playoffs. “We made it to round one. We lost in the second round of the playoffs, but I’m glad we tried and gave it our all. It was unfortunate that we did lose,” Umeweni said.

“We support each other and we push each other,” said team Captain Andy Cuenca Gil. “That’s our team spirit.”

Unity engulfed his team this season through both success and failure. After each set, after each serve, the team never failed to bring encouragement to each other.
