Besides money, what have you gained from having this job?
Besides the money, I’ve gained job experience that I can add to my resume. It will help when I apply for other jobs or colleges in the future. I’m also gaining customer service experience. A big part of my job is ensuring the safety of children. Doing this really helps me have a deeper understanding of a better way to handle kids, whether it’s them being weird or bad.
What is your favorite thing about the job?
My favorite thing about the job is definitely the little ones. They’re very goofy. It’s a very fun environment to be around and it just brings up your mood knowing you’re helping make somebody’s day, especially when they’re younger, more innocent.
Can you describe what you do?
My job is to ensure safety and ensure that everybody who comes in leaves with a smile on their face.
Do you think you gained more independence?
For sure, definitely. Sometimes I do have to stay a little bit later. So that does take a lot of responsibility that I have to pick up and makes me feel like I’m gaining more independence.
What do you not like about your job?
Something I don’t like about my job is when people are very misunderstanding of situations. For example, parents, sometimes there could be a lot of kids and it could be very overwhelming to watch everyone and make sure they’re safe. I always try my hardest . When they get upset with me, I try to come to an understanding.

What part of your job do you think is fun? Why do you think it’s fun?
A fun part about my job is definitely welcoming a guest because that’s just, welcoming them in. That’s the 1st you’re setting there, you’re setting their 1st, you know, stepping foot experience here, so I try to make it as happy and upbringing as I can. I ask the kids, like, you know, they’re excited, ready to have fun. Because, you know, that’s why they came here.
