Billie Eilish should’ve received the Album of the Year Grammy instead of Beyonce.
The 2025 Grammy Awards show was hosted at The Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Young people on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter had an outrage about Beyonce winning the Grammy for Album of the Year.
Beyonce, the 32 Grammy-Award-winning artist, finally received her Album of the Year award for “Cowboy Carter,” which, in my opinion, isn’t really an album young people pay attention to.
Many of Beyonces songs such as “Birds of a Feather” are a really big hits on TikTok, which is popular. However, songs in “Cowboy Carter” aren’t as recognized as much as Billie’s album. Users on TikTok argued and complained about the fact that Billie Eilish didn’t receive the award for her album “Hit Me Hard and Soft.”
Eilish’s album has over 70 million streams on Spotify and is very popular across many streaming and social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and much more. However, the Cowboy Carter album only has 60 Million streams on spotify.
Since the year 1959, the Grammys have been held to appreciate and recognize amazing and talented artists for their outstanding achievements within the music industry.
However, besides the Beyonce-Eilish uprising, the Grammys were a bit queer due to the fact that the show had several LGBTQ+ talented artists who performed and received a Grammy. Artists such as Chapell Roan (Best New Artist), Doechii (Best Rap Album), Willow, Durand Bernarr (Best New Artist) received awards while being a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
The 2025 Grammys was worth watching due to the fact you’ll most likely see your favorite artists win Grammys for their talented and outstanding music throughout the year. This award-winning show also shines bright lights onto amazing LGBTQ+ artists who are amazing artists and deserve awards.Overall, the 2025 Grammys was a night to remember and a moment to cherish, as we see upcoming artists achieve lifelong goals.
