The Army Black Hawk helicopter had three individuals flying it: a training pilot, co-pilot and an individual in the back talking to the air traffic controllers to get directions. The Black Hawk was being flown with the safety system off and in a range where normal Army helicopters are not supposed to be in.
The area the helicopter was was not the Army base, instead it was the commercial base. The senators were informed that the automatic dependent surveillance broadcast was off yet they still got the clearance to fly the helicopter like that. This was just a training mission, not a real mission yet they were still given the clearance to fly in that zone.
The American Airlines Flight was carrying 60 passengers and four crew members on the aircraft, unfortunately there were no survivors. The plane held figure skaters from both Russia and the United States.
They were headed home from the National Development Club. Another individual named Asra Hussain Raza was headed home from a work trip; she had even texted her husband about 20 minutes before the scheduled landing, to let him know to start making his way to the airport. She was never able to see her husband’s messages letting her know that he was on his way.
The chopper was flying at 200 feet higher than they originally flew during the time of the crash leading to suspicion. Local investigators wonder why the helicopter was flying 200 feet above the supposed military zone. While this is not uncommon due to a change in schedule, only one air traffic controller was working at the helicopter control center during this time, a job that is normally done by two people.
Investigators believe that the damaged black box from the plane that recorded the crash might have some information which will help us understand the cause of the crash.
This led to many people believing that this was a planned attack. Many believe that this was a ploy to take out one of the members on the American Airlines flight filled with a figure skating team and individuals finishing up their work trip.
When addressing this plane crash at a conference, President Trump claimed that this crash happened due to a diversity issue under the Biden Administration since the pilot flying the American Airlines aircraft was Puerto Rican. Following this plane crash, many others happened such as the crash in Philadelphia and Boston. The questions about this plane crash still remain as the whole story is not yet told and pieces are still being discovered.
