Weather’s Cold, What Trends Are Hot?
Furry Uggs, vests, and Nike techs. What is your go-to outfit for a chilly winter day? As the weather changes, so does our style, but what can you wear to look cool while staying warm?
Our Pace students have their individuality when it comes to their style, here’s how they will adapt when the cold gets in the way of fashion.
Harlem Jones’ mostly sports warm pants and a hooded jacket for cold weather. When asked about the color of the season he mentioned the color of this season and every season being red. He thinks red is the best color and says he never takes it off. Jones describes his style as workwear, something an old-head or a dad would wear. Specifically he enjoy’s Firefall winter pants because “weather cannot affect you in winter tactical ski pants.”
Jada Crawford’s favorite winter fashion trend is known as “the white girl pumpkin spice aesthetic.” She says she takes a liking towards sweaters, scarves, Uggs and the color brown but she personally doesn’t style the color. Crawford said, “My style is a little all over the place. I wear whatever I like but I normally wear jeans and a hoodie with my furry boots.” Crawford also prefers a coat rather than a vest.
Thompson describes his style as “the best my style has ever been.” He claims that his style in middle school was atrocious. In elementary school he didn’t really have a choice and would get dressed by his parents. But through style evolution, he feels that now is really his time to show out.
“I think I’m more confident now,” Jorlie Guerra said.
Thompson prefers a vest over a coat determined by his current outfit choice. “I’m wearing a vest today so I’m going to say vest,” Thompson said. But Guerra counters with the option of a coat. “A vest looks nice with the fit, but you’re cold. You can look really good with a coat and accessorize later,” Guerra said.
