Ms. Knight is an African American woman who was born and raised in Harlem. She is very family oriented and loves a good vacation with family and friends.

What’s your job at Pace? Could you describe what you do?
My job at Pace is support staff. As far as what I do, where do I start? But to name a few: I do the attendance and I do outreach.
Why did you choose this job?
I chose this job because I like working with the youth and our society.
How long have you been working here?
I have been working for Pace for about nine years.
What’s important about your role or job at Pace? Do you think students know about your job? Why or why not?
The correctness of daily attendance records, which is extremely important. Do I think the students know about my job? No. And although my job function is important, it’s not common knowledge throughout the building.
What’s your favorite or least favorite thing about what you do?
My least favorite thing I do is having to deal with an unruly student.
Was this job always your choice?
This particular school was not always my choice for working within the DOE.
What has been the best or worst thing you’ve seen?
The best thing I’ve seen here at Pace is Pacegiving. It brings us all together and I love it.
